The Boy Who Would Be King… Part 2, The Coronation

We continue our story, as the nobles (and not-so-noble) from all over merry-land come to the Capital City for the coronation of the young prince. All the elements are ready for a grand celebration. Still, the assembled hordes know nothing of the plans the young ruler has in store. Some inklings are leaking out, but the Royal Press is too enthralled with the festivities to delve into that sad news very much… (ye story developing)…

One Maryland?

Enjoy your last few hours of freedom in the free state, as Maryland is about to become even more liberal and enslaving than you may have ever thought possible. The new gov. touts that he wants “One Maryland”.

I guess it is one where everybody agrees with the lefty agenda. They have the votes to force so much down our throats, taxes, liberal initiatives, cementing their control for decades. Oh, it will be fine if you want that version of “One Maryland”. But if you want a different Maryland, one that has real freedom and incentives to thrive, one that continues the work begun by our outgoing Governor Bob Ehrlich, and his very-capable Lt. Governor Michael Steele… then you are a divider and not wanted.

We are going to have to watch Annapolis like hawks now! The spectre of “Early Voting” is rearing it’s ugly head as SB1. Meanwhile, attempts by Republican freshman Delegate Ron George to clamp down on illegals and bring Maryland in line with the Federal “Real ID” law… we will see how far they go with this crowd. I can only hope the Dems get so drunk with power, and libations from their “cellebration”, that they have to sleep it off and delay their plans a day or so. I don’t see much to cellebrate, and we can’t fall asleep for one moment. Get ready for a rough ride!

Oh, Martin, where are you getting that 400 mill for school construction… and the money for all your other follies? From our wallets, I’m afraid.

PSEUDO-COLORFUL LANGUAGE AHEAD

This is a hard post to write.

First, I have to preface it with the following…

I am a big supporter of the Republican Party and its ideals. I worked hard for President Bush’s election and re-election. He was the better candidate, much better than the alternatives offered by the other party. We needed him in charge after 9-11, and the Dems positions on many issues would have been (and now may be) disasters. I support him on so many levels…

Having said this, I am part of a growing number of Republicans who are deeply concerned. I see him as getting a lot of bad advice (I hope), or- worse yet, actually having some bad ideas himself. We need him to stand his ground, and use his veto power to not let the Dems get their way on terrible policies. I only hope that he has the… uh… balls… to do so.

We need him to stand up for what is right on some very important National Security issues dealing with Mexico. We can debate the merits of a guest-worker program, or of simply increasing the number of green cards we issue for certain industries. However, I’m afraid that the more shrill conspiracy-theorists may be right. Maybe he is part of the effort to form a North American Union, dissolving our country and all it stands for into some forced merger with Canada and Mexico, without the consent of the public. Oh, I hope I am wrong! I don’t want to believe them, but may have no choice but to do so.

We know Dubbya was buddy-buddy with Fox right before 9-11. Recent incidences point to an apparent willingness to give our country away to the globalists. Mexico wanted bounty-hunter “Dog” Chapman, and we arrested him for the “crime” of bringing a rapist to justice. We should have told Mexico to go to… hades.

Now, we are about to imprison some of our own Border Patrol agents for doing their job, and a darn good one at that. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean are about to serve over a decade in prison each, for shooting an an illegal alien (in the butt) who smuggled over a million dollars worth of Weed into the U.S. The illegal got immunity from prosecution, and the Agents go to Jail? “Only in America”, or should I say, “Only in (what’s left of) the United States of America“!

If the President doesn’t immediately grant a pardon to these Citizen-Heroes, or do some other tangible thing to assure me that he is’t a frickin’ globalist, then he can simply kiss my (insert democrat donkey animal symbol here).

Now, I am certainly not telling the President of the United States to kiss my ass. I’m only saying that if this particular President (of whatever he’d rather call it than the United States), doesn’t want the country to remain free and sovereign, then he has permission to pucker-up and smootch my posterior.

Sorry, George, but I can’t continue to carry water for you unless you “show some love”- love for your party, love for your Country, and love for the ideals I thought you held dear.

You may be our last line of defense against the liberalism of the Dems, but we need you to stand up to that challenge, and not be as bad or even worse then they are. Please restore our faith in you. Tell Mexico to S*ck your… (insert Veep’s common first name here)!

Cindy on Hannity… and she protests the Dems??

Cindy Sheehan was on Sean Hannity’s new show, and she actually took some time off from being President Bush’s thorn in the backside to be an equal-opportunity pain in the posterior! She actually protested some Dems! It looks like the Donkeys may have the same problem the Repubs have had… failing to appease their base. Despite the extreame liberalism of most of the leadership of the Democrats, they got their power by appealing to the middle, and by electing more centralist people to office. Therefore, they can’t push too much liberalism too fast… and it may bite them in the butt.

After her coronation in Washington, the New Speaker is poised to be annointed in Baltimore as well.  Her Baltimore roots are being played-up by many in the local media. They are salivating like lovesick puppies.  According to WJZ’s promo, I thought they were going to cover it like it was the Second Coming!  Give me an ever-lovin’ break!

In Other News…

Do you feel good tonight knowing that a former Clansman is 3rd in line for the Presidency??  Sen. Robert Byrd… has your sheet come back from the dry-cleaner yet?   Why is this guy still in office?  Oh, yeah… I forgot.  The entire economy of West Virginia is built around him, by him.

What a scarry future we have ahead in Washington.

At least there, if the President can get out of his concillitory mode and use his gonads, he can veto some of their more extreamly diabolical plans.  The Dems may have enough control of Congress to run the committees, but they do not have enough to over-ride a Presidential veto.  He has been reluctant to use the veto before, but if he doesn’t, the Dems will run the place into the ground.

Here in Annapolis, we won’t even have that luxury.  What the Republicans need to do here is pick a few, key issues, and fight like the dickens in the court of Public Opinion.   Only if the people are aroused out of their slumber can they embarass or pressure the Dems to back down.

William Donald Schaefer’s last BOPW Meeting…

Comptroller Schaefer, Gov. Ehrlich, & Treasurer Nancy Kopp

Who can remember a time that William Donald Schaefer (Willy-Don, if you will) has not held public office? Except for a few years after he was Governor, and before he tried to fill Comptroller Louis Goldstein’s shoes, he has served in some capacity. As Baltimore City Councilman, Mayor, Maryland Governor, and then Comptroller, he has been more than a Maryland institution. On the occassion of their last Board of Public Works Meeting together, Governor Ehrlich commended him for his years of service, saying he was not a liberal or conservative, probably not (really) a Republican or a Democrat. I guess like him, love him, or loathe him, you can’t ignore him. Amidst standing ovations and applause, one wonders if we really have heard the last from Maryland’s consumate promoter & “King-for-Life”, William Donald Schaefer. Hats off to you, sir!
